COMPARATIVE PERSPECTIVES IN JAPANESE AND BRAZILIAN LEGAL AID SERVICES
Resumo
The present paper analyzes the historical and social roots that have led East Asia and Latin America to adopt their current legal aid systems, explaining why these countries have been able to withstand the global economic crisis. Furthermore, this paper analyzes the similarities and differences between the East Asian and Latin American legal aid models, focusing on the Japanese and Brazilian systems.
