CONSIDERAÇÕES SOBRE TERRORISMO INTERNACIONAL E A NOVA LEI BRASILEIRA ANTITERROR

Abstract

Terrorism is na old concept but it has rooted deeply in international society. It is a term that defies conceptions and brings challenges in its combat and prevention. In this interim, Brasil has edited its Antiterrorism Law in March 2016 with the intent of presenting responses to the problem of possible attempts in its territory. Considering the new law and the unique context that follows it, this article seeks to make a brief analysis of what is terrorism, its main facts in Brazilian context and the country’s response to the threat, before and after the law.
