INFORMATION AS EFFECTIVE GUARDIAN MECHANISM IN ACCESS TO POTABLE WATER

Abstract

The present research focuses on verifying the information of water resources as a mechanism for effective protection in access to potable water, in an integral and equal way. The problem aims to analyze which the possibilities of water resources information channels can be used as effective protection mechanisms in the public policy agenda for access to potable water in an integral and equal way? Addressing in the first chapter the relevance of water resources information; and, in the second, the prospects for effective protection of access to potable water in Brazil. Methodologically, systemic-complex theory is used in order to understand the related socio-legal phenomena, deductive method, bibliographic research and technical construction of records. In the end, there was a need for effective protection of access to potable water, with information as a mechanism for implementing this agenda in an equal and comprehensive manner.
