The effectiveness of the water law
Brazil and United States interface
Abstract
Water resources are essential for life on earth. It has already been proven that although it is a renewable resource, water is a limited natural resource. Countries such as Brazil and the United States of America are privileged in this regard, but the lack of preservation of this natural resource, combined with poor water distribution, caused important alerts in both nations, consequently, it is necessary to implement the creation of laws for water protection and regulations for carrying out its correct distribution From this delimitation, the object of this article is to investigate the main foundations and existing instruments in the Water Laws created in Brazil and in the United States. With the use of the inductive method and from bibliographic research, it is concluded that there is a need for adequate use of water resources, based on the principle of sustainability and the constitutional principles governing environmental and urban policy, as it is a limited resource.
