LAW AND PEACE: REFLECTIONS FROM POPE FRANCIS'S PONTIFICATE

Abstract

This article proposes a reflection on the foundations and ways to achieve peace, based on the thinking of Pope Francis (from the beginning of his pontificate to the present day), highlighting, in his manifestations, the relevance of the themes that involve the legal world, especially fundamental human rights. To this end, it makes use of the Pope's pronouncements on the subject, especially those made on the occasion of the celebration of World Day of Peace, without neglecting other important facts of his pastoral agenda that involve the theme.
