AS REPERCUSSÕES DO CASO “ATALA RIFFO Y NIÑAS VERSUS CHILE” PARA A DIGNIDADE HUMANA

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the Karen Atala Riffo and daughters case against the State of Chile, submitted to the Inter-American Court decision, and the repercussions that the decision of the case and the recognition of the rights of sexual minorities had at the Chilean international and national level. The deductive method was used, with case study, bibliographic and documentary review. It is concluded that the Court's decision contributed to greater protection of human rights, to the strengthening of democracy and the State of Chile itself, and, ultimately, to the strengthening of the entire international community and of human rights.
